We are going three - Nora, Zsofi and me. When we will be back dont know. Mabye next weekend. We will see. Meanwhile we are leaving for our week trip, Alfredo and Lenka going home to their country. Maryjus is going to Black sea coast to town Zonguldiak visit family of his turkish friend Turgce and Rafal with Martyna and Tamer are going to GaziAntep visit the family of Tamer during Bayram.
Our trip started at ASTI. Everywhere was full of people and at our busstop is standing other bus. After few mi nutes we found out our bus somewhere else. Welcome to Turkey again! At bus we are meeting who else than two Czech people- David and Jaja. He is student in Samsun and she (Jaja) arrived to visit him for three weeks. Their plan is going to Antakya as we and after to continue to Syrie. According to their tickets we have same seats:) Yeah, world is small and Czech people you can find everywhere:) After few moments and saying that I dont think so TAMAM, we all are sitting.
Everything ended good and we are arriving along the beaches of Mediterrnean sea to Antakya/Hatay. From bus taking taxi to town. About bus station I really dont get why they have habit to put the bus station far from city. I thin k it s about money. They have contract with dolmuses and taxis I think... Anyway in city centre I am meeting guy who worked before in Information office and gave us map for free. Our trip startedi in Archaelogy museum which is surrounded by orange, mandarine and lemon trees. Amazing! First time I see it. YUMMY, YUMMY. City is interesting because they have mosques, churches and synagogues. We are heading to St Pierre Church where should be established Christianism. After taking dolmus to Samandag from where hitchiking (otostop) to Cevlik which is at Meditterranean sea.
Why exactly small village Cevlik? Because of Titus-Vespasianus tunnel from 1st century. He had to get water from one side of rock to the other, so he made the tunnel. Tunnel should to be long 1,5km. Czech people wearing headlamps and here we go!:) Way back we took cross the mandarine field and even we found banana tree! HELL YEAH. Back in Cevlik Czech guys have a plan to make a fire on beach and make a potatoes. During night me and David jumping to the water. Finally swimming! Dinner is eaten and we are leaving Czech guys with words that after they will be coming back from Syrie they will stop by at us in Ankara.
Next day hitchike to Antakya and after bus to GaziAntep. Hitchiking is easy, especially if you are tourist with blond hair and blue eyes:) In Antep we first wanted to visit Rafal and spend here a day but after we found out that Antep is fucking big, we are changing at bus station to bus to SanliUrfa. These two towns are rivals from history. Gazi in turkish means war hero and because Antep wanted to be something more than Antep so they put Gazi. Citizens of urfa were pissed off and they found out name Sanli - glorious . So Urfa is more than Urfa too:) Walking through night Urfa is for fuck with guys behind you. We spent there two nights.
Next day is Tuesday - first day of Bayram and the main attraction of Urfa is closed - Bazaar and castle. In tea garden we met former turistic guide at Marmaris. He can speak english and he make a tour in town gratis! From Bible is Urfa known as a born town of Abraham who sur vived bestial killing of small children of Nemrut. Our turkish guide is heading us to old city. After we met American girl and Canadian boy - teachers from Adana. They are heading to Harran - 30 km from Urfa. It should to be the oldest placed on earth.
Next day at highway we hitchike again and no problem again. By fourth car we reached our goal - MARDIN. Druign trip to Mardin we are checking landscape between river Eufrat and Tigris where everything started. Totaly flat area and hot like in hell. Town Mardin has a really old buildings from sto nes. Like in arabic style. We are 30km from Syrie , so no wonder. Local castle is in hands of army like most of interesting places in Turkey. So keep out! In new museum we are wondering about almost everything. Enchanted , we are taking dolmus to Diyarbakir. Here we are sleeping in Batman hotel:)
Diyarbakir - town where every people from Ankara are scared to go. Why I really dont know. Main attraction of town is 6km long almost whole standing city walls. Second biggest walls which can be seen from space afte Chinese wall. In city we visited Bazaar and cheese market. YUMMY! From Diyarbakir by dolmus to Siverek and than trying to hitchike. But no succes, so by dolmus through Ataturk baraji and after by second dolmus to Karadut. Oh man. My trousers:( Karadut is 14 km from the top of Mount Nemrut.
Hotel was full so we are sleeping on floor in the hall. We woke up at 4 30. Go to the top of Nemrut is really big business and lot of people is paying lot of money to get there. Even owner of hotel wanted to take a ride to the top for 50Tl. FUCK OFF! We packed and going. After few minutes , car stopped us and take us there. Yeah. So gratis to top;) About Nemrut Dagi e.g. here. In eastern terrace is almost like in cinema. Everybody is waiting for start and in the end everybody is leaving. It s fucking crowded. We are in NP but turkish so after people left lot of rubbish. After visiting of western terrace let s go to way to Malatya. 100 km long way. Landscape without people but car stopped us and took us to Malatya. French woman form Paris living in Istanbul, Kurdish guy and blond man with blue eyes from Istanbul with big car. So take care our doggies!
Malatya is bloody town, where is nothing. It s town known throughout Turkey for apricots and crossroad of train - two trains per day! After walking in crowded town we are taking train to Ankara for 18 TL (9E) where we are at Saturday morning. Time in train 18,5hours, distance 800km.
Again fantasztikos trip with fantasztikos people. Without plan and almost without money and we visited lot of things.
